The working life

After leaving school, males of my age would need to serve mandatory goverment service. Now the service has been shortened to 2 years. but with good physical performances it would be just 1 year and 11 months. First year of the service was filled with training for me. Hence i;ve always been in a training sch. 3 different types of sch before we are release into the working world of the goverment service.

I was given a desk job. a job which i thought would give me good exposure to what the working life is. and i realised that it going to be sucky and very different from the school life i used to lead back in my academic education days. Bosses to please and just hope that you don;t get arrowed to do something you don;t like to do. things are no longer as carefree as days in academic sch to a certain extent. i;m also not saying that life in an academic sch here is better. it has its own set of challenges.

I learnt that one must enjoy what he is doing. even if the job is nautarally sucky. afterall, i always belive that someone has to do the job. "If not you then who? If not now then when?" It ain;t gonna be easy in a working life, but if one has a positive view of his job, which is actually a challenge, life would be more meaningful instead of griping all the time. sometimes, it just has got to be done that way. working life has far more responsibilities than a academic student. although i would say that both working life and an academic student both faces tremendous stress level in my country. but the beauty of being an academic student is that the only responsibility they have is just to simply study hard. and there are much room for them to make mistakes and learn from it. the working life doesn;t tolerate mistakes and someone has got to be blamed and to take responsibility. for a student, maybe the only enemy is time when time is always running out for them.

what do you think?
