pursuit of happiness

living in this society has been a struggle. no doubt there were happy and good times, but there were times when you wished you weren;t alive to witness and experience it. it makes you feel down and out and extremely demoralised. but you also know that you just can;t simply stop there. you have to go on and on. carrying on with life with no morale and motivation makes it a struggle. but knowing that coming out of this ordeal makes you stronger, or will it?

competition is stiff and there is never any gurantee that you;ll ever win. sometimes, you don;t even need to win, just doing enough not to lose would sometimes be considered a great success. but is this what we are looking for? who wouldn;t want to excel and be proficient in what they do? everyone wants to feel important and useful. however, circumstances don;t always offer that opportunity for you to feel that way. of course, there were times when you took the center stage, and everyone was gloating over your success, but it doens;t last. and times like that don;t come as often as some others. but smile because at least it did happened in your life. looking back, you were once the successful one, now you;re left with almost nothing.

life is unfair and it will always be, but you just got to accept this fact. there are people who are born with the silver spoon, some not even a spoon to their name. but what can you do about it? life is not about complaining about unfairness, its the truth that you seek. believe in something, and go towards that direction. once done, find another direction. remember that it takes time. rome was not built in one day and you also cannot expect instantaneous results. most of the time, we all know this little facts and certainly someone would have told this to you before. but we always choose to ignore it and sweep it under the carpet.

find a motivation in life. what motivates you to live life? to earn money to support your child? or your parents? or is it to fulfill that childhood dreams of yours? living in a all too comfortable position with no life threatening situations nor anything that threatens your livelihood obviously doesn;t spur you on that extra mile which you really need. this is not an excuse to procrastinate what you are suppose to do to.

be true to who you are and your values. if you don;t know who you are, start reflecting on it. if you don;t have values, start looking for it.

what do you think?
