Contribution
Do something that makes you a better person. That is how we develop ourselves as we contribute back to the society. Always feel that whatever that we do, must always have an positive impact on others. Not for any personal gain, be it financial or material, but for the gain of everybody in the society, the community. Naive? Then so be it. You only have your own conscience to answer to. Just because you personally gain something out of it. Than that would be the only thing you would gain. Nothing else. Not even respect. Maybe just you yourself respecting your own bloody self.
You job is to ensure that safety is enforced. To be comfortable in what you do, and do it right. Enjoying doing things right is the icing on top of the cake. Be comfortable, be happy in what you do, and you will never feel like you have to work again in your life. Contribute back. Be part of the clockwork actions that makes the success, and enjoy that achievement because you deserved it. Develop a character respectable by peers, the community and mutual respect from both up and down. Everything is an institution of character development. It is supposedly to make you a better person as you move on with your life. Graduating from one milestone to the next.
If none of the above has been achieved, then so be it. Better make sure you have enough materialistic achievements to try to convince yourself that you have made it in life. If you believe so.
I know I have done my part, I have contributed. I have tried to make a positive difference. Even if nobody appreciates, I know deep down, I can talk to my conscience and have an enjoyable conversation.
