failure

has anyone asked themselves if they have failed before? definition of failure is an act of proving unsuccessful. and not when, the process didn;t come out as WELL as expected, or slightly less than perfection but still proven to work out. unsuccessful is when it did not work out at all totally. its actually a clear line which people often distorts it very badly. due to high expectation at times, certain level of success is deemed as a failure. however, in reality its really a success just that because it was not perfect, or there were slight hiccups, people will condemn it as a failure.

reflect upon the past and see if there was any instances in life defining moments when you have failed. if there was, then what did you do to pick yourself up. what corrective measures did you enforce so as to prevent the act to becoming another failure. sure it was painful to go thru it. but failure can either make you, or break you. depending on how you want the failure to affect your life.

make you in the sense, makes you stronger. knowing that you have failed and you have learn that something needs to be done and the problem needs to be solved. hence you;ll work out something that will improve the situation and avoid failure.

break you in the sense, failure has destroyed your fighting spirit, and then you give up. leaving the problem unsolved and nothing was done.

failure in certain sense does make you wake and shake you up abit to make you realise that life was never a bed of roses. however, you;ll never get to experienced it till you feel it. hearing from experiences is never good enough because thats simply a 2nd hand experience to start with. you never felt it yourself to know how it feels. its just the same as you;ll never know the kettle is hot till you touch it.

hence, after everything that was discussed, if you have never failed before. then its time to fail at one point of time and learn how to deal with it positively. and how you can pick yourself up and move on. keep on moving.

in all,

1. if it works out in the end, it was never a failure. it is a success. its just a less sweeter tasting success. stop harping on your high expectation and attempt to lump everything that doesn;t go your way as a failure.

2. if it never worked out in the end, do a reflection. find out the root cause of the problem. remember, the problem has to be solved. actions must be taken.

3. learning how to fail, is something which can;t be taught to you. you got fall to pick yourself up. anyway, you have to fall to pick yourself up anyway. there is no way you can learn to pick yourself up if you never fell...

what do you think?
