The final case

the sight of a dejected father waiting anxiously for the return of his son, only to realise that the wait was to be delayed by nearly a year. he waited from morning till afternoon. to sit in a very cold room, shivering to keep warm, to see the verdict of his son. and to witness a process which took no more than 45 mins, and to suffer the cold room for 4 hours.

the verdict took no more than 30 secs. all the 4 hours wait for bad news. and to hear him say his heartfelt thanks, and to see him leave the place alone. seeing the lonely figure, walking slowly away from the building and disappearing into the concrete jungles of high rise hdb flats. the scene of a dejected father.

he never saw his son at home for almost 6 years. and after being punish for his past mistakes, he was taken away immediately after coming out, and only to delay his freedom for almost a year. the son already suffered 10 strokes, plus the fact he has never been to his own home for almost 6 years. seems like a cruel way to torture the loving parents who have not yet given up on the son.
