Mirrior Part 2
time to go. after many months of tiring support, you look back on what you have done. though it is true that there are many mistakes made, many miscommunication errors. but you;ll realise that they are all learning experiences. many are painful. frustrating. and some even unnecessary. but whatever it was, there was a learning point in each of every of them.
you learn how to manage the workload. you learn how to coordinate perfectly and you learn how to work with people, with a firm yet diplomatic manner. the last thing you want to do is to burn bridges with the people you are working with and you also need to maintain good working relationship with the people you are working for. many a times, desperate calls for desperate measures. and there times when you have to resort to underhand means to achieve or to accomplish your mission. it is a necessary evil and the risks must be taken for the bigger picture and for the success of the mission. never compromise integrity for personal gain because that is plain selfish. and people will question your moral values as a person.
working in the support core of the organisation, it is very important not to reveal your trade secret. because that is your authority over the entire organisation and never let others know what you have, because chances are people will try to exploit whatever resources you have. and you;ll eventually lose command and control over your resources. know your contacts well, because in event of an emergency, you;ll know where to seek for help. never try to handle the situation on your own, because most of the time, you cannot handle it alone. never fear of asking for help, have faith with the people working together with you. nobody wants to die together in a sinking ship. people would rather work together to save their ownself. note, work together to save their ownself.
help others, because you never know when you;ll need their help. and try to offer whatever help you can. because thats just a nice thing to do. help each other. however, do not try to be overly helpful, because you may end up bearing a responsibility that is not even yours to start with in the first place.
being a service orientated appointment, it becomes a joy to know that because of your support, they are able to carry out their mission without any much of a hassle. this is called the fruits of your labour. and it makes both side happy. this is called a win-win situation.
what do you think?
