Have you done many things which you knew you put in effort, but unfortunately the outcome isn;t what you expected it to be? in this discussion, the outcome is not an outcome where it was better than expected, rather an outcome which was of below expectations. when something like this happens, the natural reaction is obviously disappointment. however, you knew you did your best, so do you feel more encouraged or do you feel more comforted? but what happens if you were reprimanded because the outcome wasn;t what was expected?

the cruncher comes in when you are in this particular situation. you have done whatever you can humanely do, by expanding all your effort, heart and soul in it. but still, things did not turn out the way it was expected, hence you are reprimanded. what is your feeling? confused? perhaps everyone in this society only expects outcomes. not processes. it doesn;t matter in the end how you did it. everyone is only interested in what happens in the end. because at the end of the day, if you cannot deliver what you are expected, you are almost deemed a failure and nobody is really interested in sad stories.

moral of the story, deliver something you can, otherwise don;t deliver. delivering something which you can;t but you managed to pull it off, makes you outstanding. but if you didn;t pull it off, then you are a failure.

however, most of the time, you are always expected to deliver what you can;t deliver. because in case of any screw ups, there is someone to be the target board.

Mathematics

The thing about working is that each must be a problem solver and a practical person. skills aside, we discuss about the technical aspects of working. it doesn;t have to be about work, it can be about a school project or an assignment. its mainly about working with people.

when you work with people on a certain assignment, everyone must expect hiccups and problems. you cannot expect it to be a smooth one. thats just being practical. the only thing that you can do is to keep it to the minimal. and keep your mind alert to what you can do to rectify the problem on the spot for problems which you may have never thought of could happen.

and to be practical, you must work with constraints. you cannot expect heaven when you are grounded on earth. you must realise what is going on and accept the fact that things may not work the way you want and you simply got to think of another way out or live with you are facing. not accepting facts just simply means you are not being practical.

when a problem arises, the utmost importance is to rectify and solve it. pointing fingers and blaming people just simply isn;t going to solve the problem. obviously it makes one feel better by pointing some fingers, but what has happen has already happen and there is nothing you can do to turn things back. brainstorm a solution first and solve the problem rather than create more problems by pointing more fingers.

sounds all so practical and logical? something which you would say," of course i know all this. thats the correct method all these while and don;t take me for a fool by thinking i don;t know all these." easier said than done. be humble and take a look at what everyone is doing. far from what i;ve just mentioned. things on paper is different from things from the ground. the only solution to this problem is to be a target board and keep quiet. you;ll stand a better chance of solving the problem rather than arguing.

Focus is the key to everything. once you are focus, you will not lose sight of what you intend to do. there will be distractions that will cause you to lose focus. keep you mind at task. don;t let the mind go idle for it will be the devil;s workshop and you will not know what its going to cost you.

once you lost focus, its going to be tough for you to get back on track. you;ll end up doing something called fighting fire. you are not rewarded for being focus, but you;ll be penalised for losing it. simple as that.

Jack-in-a-box

Expect the unexpected. you really never know what can happen to you. you may be prepared for something that you know that is coming, but has it occured to you that it what may happen is actually the tip of the ice berg? in other words, you may be prepared. but are you 100% prepared? the chances are that you are unlikely to be 100% prepared. the future is unexpected. but when it happens it is up to you to control the present.

the bottom line is that you must make the best out of the situation. people have choices, but when you made a choice, you may initially believe that it is the best choice. but you never know when the unexpected can occur. you maybe were expecting something else, but something which you never would believe can occur has occured. so what if you were prepared? being prepared means you have the ability to minimise the impact that you expect and hope that experience would help you overcome the unexpected situation. with tons of experience, it would also be likely you can also minimise the unexpected impact to a certain extent.

are you prepared? prepared for the unknown?
